Cailabs will attend the Satellite 2024 Conference & Exhibition, that will bring together aerospace thought leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, engineers and end-users for the largest global satellite technology event of the year.
Cailabs will be at booth #1855!
Don’t miss the panel with Jean-François Morizur on March 20 from 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm (Room: 146C) : The Rise of Optical Ground Segment for Laser Communications
“Space-based laser communication, mostly driven by academic research in the last 2 decades, is now becoming an industrial and commercial reality. After Airbus paved the way with EDRS, Optical Inter-Satellite Links (OISL) are now a mature and deployed technology, with more than 40 TESAT terminals delivered to a US government customer. The architectures of SDA Tranche 2, IRIS² and next-generation telecom constellations from SpaceX, Amazon and OneWeb all rely on OISL. The market is showing first signs of operational Optical Ground Segment deployments with multi-stations networks. This session will highlight key challenges of atmospheric laser links, and share its latest advances in building industrial Optical Ground Stations with unique turbulence mitigation capabilities.”
