Cailabs has developed an Optical Ground Station (OGS) for the Keraunos project, backed by France’s Ministry of Defense. The video showcases a successful test of establishing a 2.5 km ground-to-ground communication link. An Optical Communication Terminal (OCT) on the artificial satellite and the remotely operated OGS synchronize using a beacon signal. This alignment allows the OCT to send communication signals to the OGS, demonstrating the OGS’s operational capability in optical space communication.
