Rennes, France – Cailabs wins the 2021 Innovation Award given by APOLAN, the leading association in the POLAN (Passive Optical LAN) industry.

AROONA, a unique innovation that boosts optical fiber

The Passive Optical LAN (POLAN) is derived from PON (Passive Optical Network), a mature technology used in the field for decades by telecom operators. POLAN is an attractive and sustainable LAN architecture that outperforms the traditional Ethernet LAN in terms of capacity, footprint, reliability and security, while reducing operating costs.

The AROONA solution, already proven in a traditional LAN environment, avoids intrusive, complex and expensive single-mode fiber deployments. The existing multimode infrastructure, which many believe to be obsolete, can be easily optimized and sustained to support POLAN infrastructures thanks to AROONA.

A rapidly growing POLAN market
